- The memory or known as Ram gives the speed in performance and multitasking abilities. We should look at what you like to do on a desktop then decide on the performance you would like to see.
- The Hard Drive is another component that should be of at least average quality. You can purchase low to high grade quality. This is what stores your data! At least back up weekly if you choose a lower grade.
- The Processor is the most expensive component in the custom computer. It is like the brain, the processor does all the computing. The quicker the processor the quicker the computing. this makes the desktop quicker.
- The Video Card is up there for price. If a person is not a gamer the video card may not be needed. If you are a gamer then I would recommend doing some research on what card would fit your needs.
- The Power Supply most people and shops over look this component. This is what gives the desktop it’s juice. Not enough juice starves the computer causing damage. The higher the quality the cleaner the power will be .
- The last thing that should be talked about but most technicians do not talk about is: What will allow your computer to last longer? This is always suggested with every build in Saskatoon.
